Welcome to the webpages of Frank Peeters. I am a marine micropaleontologist and work as a senior researcher at the Faculty of Earth and Life sciences of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. My main interests are focused on earth system history and in particular on palaeo-oceanography (the study of past ocean circulation) and palaeoclimatology. I study small calcareous fossils found in ocean sediments, and use these in various ways to infer changes in past ocean dynamics and circulation. Besides being a researcher I am a certified teacher and course coordinator. Below and on the next pages you will find more on my background, interests and activities.
