Research My aim is to improve our understanding of the role of soil moisture in land surface processes at a global scale by using Earth observation data in combination with climate/hydrological models and spatiotemporal analysis. My main research interest focuses both on the retrieval of this key climate variable from passive microwave observations and the application of this variable in land surface process studies.
